9 Days Tanzania National Park Safaris

These 9 days (8 nights) safari will commence and end in Arusha. You will have the opportunity of visiting different places like Lake Manyara, Serengeti National Park, transfer to Ngorongoro crater and then to Tarangire National Park which will reward you with clear views of wild game like the elephants, Hyenas, buffalos, Zebras, Antelopes, just to mention but a few.

Tanzania Holidays Safari Itinerary for 9 days Tanzania National Parks.

Day 1: Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha

When you arrive at the airport, you will be met by our professional guide/ driver who will transfer you to the Hotel in Arusha for lunch. After your lunch, you will relax or even decide to go for an evening walk in Arusha. Otherwise, at the night, you will transfer back to the East Africa hotel for your dinner and overnight.

 Day 2: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park.

You will arrive at Arusha Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be picked up by our safari guide/driver. He will transfer you to a hotel for breakfast and thereafter you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. By the time you get to Lake Manyara National Park, it will already be lunchtime, so you will have it there at the hotel or campsite. After lunch, you will embark on the search for Manyara’s waiting residents in an afternoon game drive. Of course, you will not fail to spot out a few animals like elephants, Hyenas, buffalos, Zebras, Antelopes and some others. Otherwise in the evening, you will transfer back to the Lodge for your dinner and overnight.

Days 3 &4: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park

You are expected to have your usual morning breakfast with packed lunch because you will have your lunch en-route. After that, you will transfer to Serengeti National Park but you will first visit the Olduvai Gorge site of archaeological findings, where traces of pre-historic man dating back to 3.5 million years ago have been discovered. En-route, you can see some of the animals roaming around and others resting in tree shades. In this Park, the wildebeest and the zebras are the most common animals; you cannot spend a minute without spotting at least one. Most of the cat family can be seen in the plains while the elephants are a bit scarce. There are other animals (endangered black rhinos which are restricted at the Moru Koppies area. All these animals you will see on your next day after arrival. So, you will arrive and have a late lunch and after you will proceed for a game drive, dinner and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge/ Mbalageti camp/ Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 5: Game drive at Serengeti National Park.

This day is very interesting because you learn a lot. So, after your morning breakfast, you will do the game driving activity in the Serengeti for the whole morning and this will indeed be memorable. Still in the afternoon, you will go back for the game drive and you will as well enjoy it for the second time. Because of too much fun, you will again excite your self with lunch, refreshments and relaxation at the lodge or campsite. At Serengeti National Park, you will be in a position to view all the big five and other animals like the zebras, gazelle, antelopes, wildebeest and some others. You will later get to know that some animals like wildebeest and zebras do migrate in June and July. This Serengeti National Park also has a few carnivores like lions, leopards, hyenas and cheaters.  This day will indeed be exciting, so you will have your dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge or Mbalageti luxury camp.

Day 6: Transfer to Ngorongoro crater.

After your early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Ngorongoro. You will reach in the afternoon so you will have lunch at Noitoktok. After your lunch, you will visit the crater and you will be in a position to see some of the animals like lions, elephants, zebras, a small number of flamingoes, wildebeest, spotted hyena, grant’s, Thompson’s gazelle, cheaters. You might not be able to see all the interesting things around the crater because of time but will go back there the next day. So, after glancing at the animals, you will be driven back to Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge for your dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Visit Ngorongoro crater.

On this day, you will head to Ngorongoro for a full day crater tour. Remember that you are spending the whole day there so you are advised to carry a picnic lunch with you. This Ngorongoro crater is 670 meters deep and surrounded by several animals some of which include lions, elephants, zebras, a small number of flamingoes, wildebeest, spotted hyenas, grant’s, Thompson’s gazelle, cheaters and so many more. Because you will be tired, you will first rest for a while with lunch at the Noitoktok springs picnic site. After your late lunch, you will have some time to watch some birds until you are transferred back to Ngorongoro Serena Safari lodge for your dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Tarangire National Park.

On this day, you will have your breakfast as usual the crater. Because you will be travelling the whole day, you will have to move with packed lunch, thereafter, you will continue to Tarangire national park for evening game drives which will reward you with clear views of over 280 herds of elephants scratching the dry river bed for underground streams with other animals like wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest. In the evening you will have your dinner and overnight stay at Tarangire Sopa lodge

Day 9: Departure.

On this day, you have your morning breakfast and then go for a game drive as you drive to Arusha town for lunch. In the afternoon, you will board an afternoon shuttle bus to Nairobi which will drop you at the airport to catch your departure flight back home.
